Crosswind farm is a great example of branding that works. When we started designing for Cross Wind Farm we went out to food shops and looked at labeling on current goat products. Most striking to us was the similarity and consistency we saw of weak drawings and muted colours.
Our objective: stand out from the crowd!
So when trying to stand out you sometimes do the opposite – we chose strong colours and strong lines. The logo came together beautifully and the labels followed with unique shapes and colours for the various flavours. Once the Crosswind Farm products hit the stores we went out to check on them “in the wild” and their visibility in the cooler cases was astonishing.
